The giant of the motoring industry, General Motors, who own brands like Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Pontiac and Buick, have reveasleda line-up of new car £. Just last month, the motoring giant recovered after 40 days of bankruptcy, within those 40 days, the government invested $50 billion, making it around 60% owned by the public.

Now that General Motors have recovered from bankruptcy, they can now look ahead and shape their brands to make more sales. Within the past week, they have released details about the new ways they will be selling their cars. One of the methods was by listing their vehicles on eBay which began on August 11th.

On August 11th, General Motors invited a select group of 100 consumers to join them at their proving ground in Detroit. The event was comprised of showing off a series of new cars that will soon be released by the motoring company. After they recovered from bankruptcy, the company took a long hard look at their car models and decided to make some changes.

Currently most of their cars are the size of tanks and eat fuel, these used to be very popular, however, due to climate change, they are becoming less popular as drivers become more eco-friendly. To try and full in some younger clients to their showrooms, General Motors have designed a set of smaller and more fuel efficient cars for a number of their car brands.

There were a few cars announced, one that’s expected to become very popular is the Chevrolet Volt. This car is said to be set for release in 2010, it’s already become very popular because of how many miles per gallon it can manage. Currently the car is estimated to be able to do 230 miles per gallon which is a huge amount and it drastically reduces the running of the car.

The other announcement that was welcomed was the new model Cadillac. The new Cadillac is a new small sports sedan and it will have either rear wheel or four wheel drive. The new car came with no release date, but it is said to be smaller than the very popular CTS model.

General Motors announced a huge number of plans for their brands over the next 3 years. Some of those plans included doubling the amount of models Buick have, going from the current 3, up to 6. We’ll have to watch out to see when they are released and what effect they will have for General Motors. If we’re lucky, some of these models will get into the UK in the contract hire market. At this stage, the only big American car you can lease in the UK is a Chrysler lease. Alternatively, another option to you would be to opt for cheap van leasing because they’re the closest size match to a Chevrolet

pEarlier this year the owner of car brands like Pontiac and Chevrolet, General Motors, filed for bankruptcy. However, they have now been able to turn things around and have stopped receiving protection from bankruptcy./pp/ppAfter sorting themselves out, they are now trying some new methods in an attempt to bring more sales to the business.!–more– They are currently looking into 2 new methods to selling their cars. The first method they have already tried but pulled out of last year, and thats car leasing. They have put together plans to once again return to the a href=http://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/ target=_blankcontract hire/a market this year. As its coming directly from General Motors, they might be able to offer some very a href=http://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/van_leasing.htm target=_blankcheap van leasing/a offers as they can undercut much of their competition because the cars come straight off the production line./pp/ppThe other method is that they are teaming up with the online auction site eBay. Starting from August 11th, General Motors began listing, within the California area, new Chevrolet, Pontiac, GMC and Buick cars on the auction website./pp/ppThe listings will be run up until September on a trial basis, but with the almost all of the Californian GM dealers already signed up, the system is already becoming popular. Customers using the system will be allowed to either pay the listed price for the car, or they are allowed to haggle for a new price. Once a car is bought via the site, the customer is then required to travel to one of the listed retailers and pick up the car./pp/ppIf both eBay and General Motors find the system to be successful and profitable, they will looks to expand it across the entire United States. Also as other companies look to General Motors to see if the methods are successful, we might see other companies offering their own cars for lease such as a a href=http://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/mazda-car-leasing.htm target=_blankHonda lease/a./p
