Buying a used car can be an absolute great investment rather than opting for a new vehicle. The reason I say this is because of the fact that new cars lose value as soon as you purchase them, the same cannot be said for used cars. But there are things to look out for when purchasing a secondhand vehicle. We have all heard about the dodgy used car salesman, so if you are buying from a garage, here are a few things to be wary of.

High Prices

Garage salesmen constantly incline to step-up the cost of a vehicle a vast amount. I have actually witnessed some salesmen increase the price by up to 50%. So if you really do like the vehicle they are selling then try to haggle with them. Because in the end if they do not accept it then its their loss.

Wont Leave You Alone

If you take a look at the vehicle and the saleman promptly approaches you. In most likeness that vehicle probably has something wrong with it. Salesmen have a tendency to try and get rid of their cars that are falling apart and they dont care how they do it, as long as they make a bit of money.

Finance Deal

There are vast amounts of garages that have united forces with finance companies to get rid of their cars even quicker. This was something that I actually experienced first hand, looking at a car you realise that you cannot afford to buy it, but the salesman says that you do not have to pay anything. A few months down the line you get stuck in a contract with huge interest rates and have a terrible car.

Do you want to Buy an Audi or Buy a Renault

We are constantly hearing news reports of how the recession is hitting the motoring industry badly. Every week there is a new story of how the motoring industry is suffering because people simply aren’t choosing to buy a new BMW. However, there are sectors of the motoring industry that are doing well, but we never hear about them.

The second hand car market is one of the few parts of the motoring industry that has grown because of the recession. The prices of second hand cars have been doing the opposite to many things in the recession, they have been rising. This may not sound very positive for the customer because you will have to pay more for used cars for sale, however, if you choose to trade in your old car, you will get alot more money for it than previously.

The main reason why the second hand car market is becoming so busy is that many people are trying to save their cash, while still having a car. In an attempt to do this, they opt for buying a second hand car rather than a brand new one. One recent thing that definately hasn’t helped the position of the new car market is that due to the recession, new car prices have actually gone up. You’d think that would be the last thing car manufacturers would want to do, however, because the current exchange rates are so poor, manufacturers are forced to raise prices.

As a result of more people opting for used cars, the demand for these second hand cars has seen a dramatic rise. As the demand for second hand motors rise, plus with the scrappage scheme resulting in more scrapped cars, the job of finding a good used car is becoming harder. Now because used car dealers are running out of cars to sell, they are offering more for trading in a car, making it sound like a better deal for car owners looking to sell.

The only downside to this is that because you are getting more money for your old car, you are having to pay more when you buy your new used car. So because the price rises are on both sides, selling and buying, you are not actually getting any extra cash for your car because you lose it when you buy a new one, but the majority of the public would still prefer to buy a second hand motor rather than a buy a Toyota straight off the production line.

The only people that look to lose out from the price rises are the customers that choose to not trade in an old car.

Indias car sales will accelerate this year as economic growth is helping these countries withstand a global slump in automobile demand, an industry group has stated. This has spurred Maruit Suzuki to increase their own investment in the region.

Vehicle sales in India are set to make a steady increase by at least 10 percent alone in the year to March 2010 which is double and April estimate for a 5 percent expansion. The thirteen car producers in India sold 1.22 million cars last year which is a fantastic statistic to think about especially when the car industry is taking a big blow right now.Economies in India and China are set to boost. So, before they do companies from all over the world are trying as hard as possible to get their investments in place in time to make some serious money off of this profitability.

The market for used cars in India has also risen with the need to buy an audi or buy a renault dropping. Used cars these days are extremely reasonable in over populated regions of the world like India and people are more than prepared to make the most of this now. China, japan and America are amongst several countries that are offering a mix of credits and tax breaks to try and boost auto sales by getting consumers to trade-in old cars for newer, more fuel efficient models which is thus helping keep the environment clean and safe. India’s central bank ploughed roughly 5.6 trillion rupees into the economy which together with the government fiscal stimulus amounted to more than 12 percent of gross domestic product. Car sales also gained in India by 1.3 percent in the fiscal year which ended in late March, the slowest pace recorded from the last seven years. There is clear evidence that the bad economy has had a massive affect on us all yet with the overwhelming population and workforce from India and China the economy can grow and recover quicker.

The fastest land speed record has been broken by a man named Charles Burnett III in a steam powered car. The long record had previously been held by a man named Fred Marriott and it was originally set in 1906 and his record has not only been beaten it has been absolutely shattered. The car recorded an average speed of 139.843mph on two runs over a measured mile. This absolutely smashes the previous record of 127mph set over 100 years ago. However the new record fell slightly short of the unofficial 145.607mph set by the infamous car, Steamin’ Demon in 1985. The British team were hoping to beat this record as well as the original land speed record made in 1906. Since the motor itself has only one gear it accelerates very slowly indeed and needs a 2.5 mile run up at either end of the enormous test strip in a desert near to Florida. Used cars in the local area have been thrown in at various stages of the project to contribute to the cars performance.

The English engineering team is very technical and some of the brightest minds in the world have been mixing togetehr to try and get this car working to its full potential. In conclusion this is brilliant news for the car industry. Over a hundred car manufactures have contributed to the worlds fastest car and the demand to buy a renault has risen slightly in the local area. Except from the fact that people have been urged to buy a honda for example the interest in the car industry has been given a new spark.

The world record for land speed has not been broken in over 100 years and there is an incredible amount of interest into car manufacturing being sparked from this event. Breaking the land speed record has really emphasised our advances in technology over the last twenty years and I believe it is only a matter of time before we see this land speed record broken again.

pThousands if not millions of people every single year purchase a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk target=_blankused cars/a, the reason people purchase used cars is because they simply hold their value much more then new cars would. I literally mean as soon as you buy a new car it just immediatley drops its value. But there are not many used cars that would do this.!–more–/pp/ppBut in person I think that buying a secondhand automobile privately is by all odds the better choice to take, so let us take a look at a few of the reasons why./pp/ppPrice/ppProbably one of the most important aspects has to be the cost, you would literally save yourself hundreds, if not thousands of pounds by buying a privatley owned vehicle./pp/ppReason/ppMost people that sell their private vehicles and have a actual cause to do so. The same cannot be said for automobile dealers, they are in fact selling their vehicles merely to make money out of it, so they will try and do or say anything to get the most out of you./pp/ppNo Funny Deals/ppGarages have a huge tendency to try and push a vehicle on to you, even more they try to lock you into finance agreements, which although may sound very promising, will always see you paying much more then the car is worth. Once more the same cannot be said for private owners they have a frozen cost and they will not increase it above that./pp/ppThere are so many more reasons as to why you should choose the private option for your car needs. In the end most private sellers are genuine and what you see is what you get. As long as you acknowledge what to check for on a site you should be secure from picking up a dodgy automobile./pp/ppDo you want to a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/audi target=_blankBuy an Audi/a or a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/mercedes target=_blankBuy a New Mercedes/a/p

pGettinga href=http://www.carpress.co.uk target=_blankused cars/a is just not an easy decision to make these days, there are so many dodgy cars that you have to be very careful about the decisions you make. The best solution would be to actually bring a mechanic with you to check the vehicle. But if you cannot manage to get hold of one then there are a few things that you could specifically do yourself to make sure that the used car is in tip top shape.!–more–/pp/ppLook Under the Bonnet/ppDo not just walk around the car kicking the tyres, because that will be the least of your problems if the engine is on its way out. When you open the bonnet make sure that there is no oil leaks, also check the oil to see the colour of it, make sure its not too dark. Trying pressing the accelerator t make sure the engine is well./pp/ppCheck the Exhaust/ppAgain rev the engine and make sure there is no odd sounds coming from the exhaust. Also get someone else to rev the engine and briefly place your hand over the exhaust and make sure no black smoke comes out, as this could signal major problems./pp/ppTest Drive/ppA huge amount of people do not test drive their vehicles, they just buy them and when they drive away they begin to notice problems. It is essential to drive the car around for at least 15 minutes to make sure that everything is well. You may notice a huge amount of problems that you would not have done./pp/ppFinally you can take the time to check the interior and dont forget to do a HPI and police check on the car, because these could all signal something majorly wrong with the vehicle./ppbr /Do you want to a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/audi target=_blankBuy an Audi/a or a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/nissan target=_blankBuy a Nissan/a/p

pCash flow this year has been every so tight, the credit crunch has literally hit everyones pockets. But a lot of people still have to get around and make their way to work. Most people do this with their own method of transport such as their car.!–more– But we altogether acknowledge that your automobile can break down on you at some of the worst times possible. Then when you go out to buy another used car it ends up breaking down on you after you have spent thousands./pp/ppSo let us take a quick look at some of the most beneficial ways that can help you to buy a used car./pp/ppTake a Mechanic/ppWhen you go to buy a car, do not just go yourself, bring an experienced mechanic with you that with be able to check over the vehicle and engine and let you know if you should by the car in question./pp/ppFinance Check/ppYou should constantly execute a HPI check on the vehicle to make sure that there is no existing finance on the vehicle, because if there is existing finance then you could be liable to return the vehicle back to the finance company if the person fails to keep up with their payments./pp/ppPolice Check/ppI would also look at getting a police check for a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk target=_blankused cars for sale/a to make sure that the vehicle is fine and it has not been reported stolen. I would also check to make sure that the car has not actually been in any type of traffic accident or has not been written off in the past because this could again see your facing a huge amount of problems with the car./pp/ppDo you want to a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/alfa-romeo target=_blankBuy a New Alfa Romeo/a or a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/mercedes target=_blankBuy a New Mercedes/a/p

pUsed cars are very much the best option when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. Personally I would never drift away from purchasing a used automobile over a new car and there are a few reasons and personal experiences behind this./pp/ppIt was a few years ago when I decided to buy a new car on HP, it was very expensive but it was literally my dream car.!–more– The car costs me probably five thousand more then it would have done if I purchased a year younger model./pp/ppWell I basically drove the car for six months, I mean the car was great and it never caused me any problems whatsoever. But then I had a car accident, it was not my fault as this lady drove straight into the front of my vehicle. The car was written off by the insurance./pp/ppWhat followed was probably the worst experience in my life, letter after letter, phone call after call I seemed to be constantly communicating with the insurance company and trying to actually get some money out of them. Well when I finally did get a check I nearly had a heart attack, the reason was that I paid almost 30,000 for the vehicle and only received ten thousand back. The insurance stated that it was because of the fact that I purchased the car new and depreciation was very heavy on new cars./pp/ppWell I can tell you now that I will never be purchasing a new car now because of this, it has probably scarred me for life and I have lost valuable money that I worked ever so hard for.a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/ target=_blankused cars/a or car leasing./ppbr /Do you want to a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/alfa-romeo target=_blankBuy a New Alfa Romeo/a or a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/nissan target=_blankBuy a Nissan/a/p

pWhen you are thinking of buying an auto, do some digging around initially so that you can locate the best possible deals that are available at the time. People are more careful with their money in todays climate of economic uncertainty and will only part with it for something they feel is of value but at a good deal. All dealerships are aware of this fact and have started offering consumers some really good incentives to entice them to their shops.!–more–/pp/ppPeople who know the auto market well will be aware the most new models appear in the period August-November. This is the time that you should make sure to visit the car dealerships to find the very latest model on the market. Or a person could pay a visit just before the arrival of these new models as dealers try to shift the older models to make room for them, therefore great deals could be found. They will offer really good deals to you just to make more room for these new cars./pp/ppThe Internet is a good place to do some research on the vehicle that you are considering. Try and also read consumer reports like the ones offered by the so-called car experts. While a car may look like the greatest vehicle to you, a consumer or expert may have some information that you dont know that will change your mind. Knowing exactly what it is you are purchasing will help you get the best deals around./pp/ppIf possible, take the vehicle on a long test drive. A short test drive doesnt give you enough time to get a feel for the car. Drive as long as you can to see how it performs over a longer period. If you dont plane on driving longer distance, you will still need to get a feel of the car./pp/ppFor superb a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/ target=_blankused cars/a ,a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/honda target=_blankBuy a Honda/a or a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/mercedes target=_blankBuy a New Mercedes/a/p

pAlmost every driver in the whole world would like to go around in a nice car, but most people can really not afford to constantly buy themselves new vehicles./pp/ppPersonally I do feel that there are so many more benefits that you can get from used vehicles.a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/ target=_blankused cars/a Do not really lose their value.!–more–/pp/ppAs a basic example if I went out to buy a new BMW it would end up costing a fortune, then lets say that I got this on finance it would probably end up costing a huge amount more. Now as soon as you buy this vehicle brand new it has instantly lost around 5k and it will continue losing a few thousand every single time that you use it and by the time you sell it you would have ended up literally losing a huge amount of overall money./pp/ppNow think about getting a secondhand automobile, secondhand cars seem to hold their price a lot longer simply because of the fact that they have already in all likelihood hit their lowest amount. Evidently it will drop year on year but in no way are you going to lose as much money as you would in reality purchasing a new car./pp/ppNow again you have to look at this two ways as I know the new car is not likely to break down at all for the first few years, but the used car depending on which one you actually get will end up breaking down. Again this is not the case a lot of people can get lucky in buying used cars./ppbr /br /Do you want to a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/bmw target=_blankBuy a new BMW/a or a href=http://www.carpress.co.uk/mercedes target=_blankBuy a New Mercedes/a/p
